Nesquehoning Scout attains Eagle rank

Angelo Greek of Nesquehoning has achieved the highest rank of Boy Scouting.

Greek, 18, earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Nov. 30, according to leaders of Boy Scout Troop 755 of Clamtown and Troop 777 of Tamaqua.

Greek joined scouting in 2012. As a member of Cub Scout Pack 756, he achieved Cub Scout’s highest rank, the Arrow of Light. As a member of Troop 755, he has held numerous leadership positions, including quartermaster and patrol leader. He has earned 21 merit badges.

Greek’s Eagle Scout project involved the construction and placement of memorial benches in conjunction with the Nesquehoning Historical Society. The bench project provided a unique and meaningful way for citizens to honor friends and loved ones, promote a business, recognize a civic group or commemorate a special event.

Greek is a freshman majoring in political science at Duquesne University. He graduated from Marian Catholic High School in 2024 and was a member of Future Business Leaders of America, football, golf and track teams.

He also enjoyed playing ice hockey for Hazleton and Wilkes-Barre during his high school years.

He is the son of Michael and Michelle Greek, and has a sister, Gabriella.
