BOYS BASKETBALL
Shenandoah Valley-Weatherly
Niko Saldukas scored seven fourth-quarter points to help Weatherly hold off Shenandoah Valley for a 52-43 Schuylkill League victory.
The Wreckers outscored their visitors by a 16-12 margin in the final frame to maintain the lead and gain the win.
Ian McKeegan led Weatherly with 16 points, while Corbin Wagner added 11. The Devils received a team-high 16 points from David Burrows.
The win was the Wreckers’ third of the season, already passing last season’s total of two.

In a low-scoring Schuylkill League contest, Blue Mountain escaped Panther Valley with a 39-36 win.
Tyerice Neade tallied a game-high 17 points for the Eagles, who held a five-point halftime advantage.
Connor Penberth paced the Panthers with 13 points, while Logan Fisher hit for 10.

Tamaqua-Pine Grove
After a promising first quarter, Tamaqua’s offense was stymied the rest of the way in dropping a 42-26 Schuylkill League decision to Pine Grove.
The Blue Raiders jumped out to a 13-8 opening-frame advantage, but the Cardinals’ defense held the visitors to just 13 more points the rest of the game.
Cooper Ansbach had seven points to lead Tamaqua, while Luke Kane added six. Pine Grove’s Karson Felty led all scorers with 17 points.

A 21-point fourth quarter by Pocono Mountain West secured a 67-41 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over Pleasant Valley.
Kyon Coles Jr. scored 10 of his game-high 23 points in the final frame to lead the Panthers. The winners, undefeated in league play, also received 20 points from Eryan Silva.
Zach Prator paced the Bears with 21 points, with 12 of them coming in the second half. JJ Moore also collected 10 points.

Northwestern pushed its winning streak to six straight games, as the Tigers ran away with a 59-12 Colonial League victory over Lehighton.
Natalie Conner poured in 18 of her game-high 21 points in the first half, as the Tigers took a commanding 42-1 halftime lead.
Cara Thomas added 20 points to the winning cause.
The Indians’ Leah Uyvari finished with a team-high four points.

The winners also received nine points from Jodi Bowen, while Rylan Knapp finished with a team-high of four points for the Bears.
