State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were called to a theft by deception incident at a residence on Bowhunter Lane, Eldred Township, by a 71-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, both from Kunkletown.

They told police that between Nov. 16-18, their joint checking account was fraudulently charged twice for what the two believed were computer anti-virus software services.

The loss was $1,994.14, police said.

• Police are investigating a burglary that was reported at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 30.at a property on James Street in Towamensing Township. The victim is a 39-year-old woman from Lehighton.
