The Northern Lehigh girls basketball team turned back Wilson to secure a win on Wednesday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Northern Lehigh-Wilson

Katelynn Barthold scored 26 points, and Tegan Simms added 23 to help Northern Lehigh gain its first victory of the season with a 62-56 decision over previously unbeaten Wilson.

The Warriors rallied from a huge deficit in the fourth quarter, but the Bulldogs held on for the Colonial League victory.

Kiera Hartzell-Ham led Wilson with 14 points.

Panther Valley posted a 50-42 victory over Tamaqua behind a 28-point performance from Maynard.

Jones chipped in with 11 points for the winners.

The Raiders received 18 points from Gavin Edmonds, while Gavin Shannon and Chance Makovec each added 10.

Panther Vy.-Mahanoy Area

Panther Valley gained a 62-53 victory over Mahanoy Area.

Maynard poured in a game-high 27 points, while Jones finished with 11.

Mahanoy received 20 points from Smith.

Tamaqua-Marian

Gavin Shannon had 15 points to lead Tamaqua to a 43-20 victory over Marian.

The winners also received nine points from Gavin Edmonds.

Tamaqua dropped a 68-43 decision to Mount Carmel.

Gavin Edmonds scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Blue Raiders, while teammate Gavin Shannon added nine.

Spears paced Mount Carmel with 18 points.

North Schuylkill pulled away from Panther Valley for a 55-38 win.

Jones paced the Panthers with 12 points, while Cooper Lynn finished with 10.

The Spartans received a game-high 16 points from Sweeney.
