No one expressed an interest in the vacant Lansford West Ward school building that the school board offered for free to the public.

Several months ago, the board decided to do away with the old, two-story wooden structure that had been condemned by the state as a school building.

Since that time, the district has been selling items in the school to Lansford taxpayers, such as desks and blackboards, etc.

With no one willing to take ownership of the building for free, the directors authorized its solicitor, Atty. William Quinn, to prepare bids for the proposed razing of the structure.
