Coalcracker Barbershop Chorus welcomes new member

The Coalcracker Barbershop Chorus announced that Adam Bachert has joined the group and is now a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society.

Bachert is a 2024 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and is enrolled at Lehigh Carbon Community College where he is pursuing an associate degree in communications.

The group has several performances lined up through the month of December, and will not be meeting for practices until Jan. 6. The performances include singing at the Mahanoy City Women’s Club Christmas party, and singing Christmas carols at the Tamaqua Adult Day Care and Living Branches Senior Living Community in Souderton.

All are welcome to attend any of the practices. Practices are from 7:30 -9 p.m. Mondays at the Tamaqua Arts Center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.

Membership is open to men, women, and boys and girls of high school age or older. There is no cost and no commitment regarding attendance. For more information, call Blake Tharp at 610-570-4417.
