State police at Fern Ridge

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating a Firearms Act violation that took place on June 1 at Dunkelberger’s Sports Outfitters, 1471 Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

• A 60-year-old Saylorsburg resident was targeted in a theft at Grand View and Foxcroft drives, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said she reported at 9:55 a.m. Oct. 11 that someone stole a $500 purse from the residence.

• Police are investigating a ChildLine report they received concerning the welfare of a 1-year-old girl from Effort.

They said the alleged assault with bodily injury occurred between Nov. 1 and 11:59 p.m. Nov. 5 at Country Acres Court, Chestnuthill Township.

• Police were notified that a 48-year-old Jackson Township woman was targeted in a theft by deception incident reported at 3:53 p.m. Nov. 7.

She told police she was locked out of her Facebook account and located an unknown person who offered to help her unlock the account. She gave personal information to the unknown person.

• Police are investigating a Uniform Firearms Act violation they were called to a property in the 1400 block of Route 209, Chestnuthill Township, at 3:39 p.m. Oct. 11.

They said the investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released once it no longer jeopardizes the case.

• Police were called to a criminal mischief incident at 7:53 p.m. Oct. 14 at a property at 43 Drakes Drive, Penn Forest Township.

The victim, Kathryn Wisniewski, 48, of Jim Thorpe, reported an actor arrived at the property and damaged her 2007 Kia Amanti with a pick ax, smashing windows and puncturing body panels of the vehicle. The damage is estimated at $2,500, police said.

• Police are investigating a theft report they received at 12:26 p.m. Oct. 15 at Michael’s Delicatessen, 3160 Route 115, Chestnuthill Township.

The owner said had hired a man by the name of Juan Rodriguez, whom she recently fired, and determined he received his past paycheck twice because of confusion. Police said the loss to the restaurant is $93.

• A 43-year-old Penn Forest Township woman was targeted in a theft that occurred between 12:57 and 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at her property.

She told police someone stole a package that was delivered to her home. It contained an Apple iPad 5 valued at $700.

• A 56-year-old Effort woman went to the police barracks at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 16 to report a theft that had occurred at her residence.

She told police someone stole miscellaneous jewelry valued at $2,900 from the residence on Elderberry Lane, Chestnuthill Township.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident reported at 10:35 a.m. Oct. 17.

A 63-year-old Center Valley man told police an unidentified man punched out the window of his residence on Henning Road, Penn Forest Township, but was chased off by a neighbor. They said the man was wearing glasses, a blue puffy coat and bluejeans.

The damage to the double-pane glass window is estimated $244.76, police said.

• A 37-year-old Albrightsville man was targeted in a theft by deception incident. Police said the incident occurred at noon Feb. 5 on Quincy Lane, Penn Forest Township.

• Police are investigating the theft of a package delivered to a Chestnuthill Township home by a FedEx employee.

The resident told police the package was stolen between 1:44 and 6 p.m. Sept. 6.

The package contained a paddle board valued at $435, police said.

• Police said a 44year-old Dobbs Ferry, New York, man reported his Samsung Galaxy S10 was stolen during an argument he had with another person on Oct. 22.

Police said the incident occurred on Locust Lane, Chestnuthill Township. They said the phone was recovered and returned to the owner.

• Police said they are investigating a report of a caregiver providing care to a girl under the age of 1 that may or may not rise to a criminal level.

They said it occurred at 2:12 p.m. Oct. 23 on Legion Road, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said the investigation is continuing and additional information will be released after it is determined it will not interfere with the integrity of the investigation.

• Police are investigating a burglary that occurred between 6 p.m. Oct. 27 and 9:58 p.m. Nov. 3 at 1102 Beechnut Road, Chestnuthill Township.

The Effort resident reported various liquors and a PlayStation 4 valued at $219.99 were stolen.

• Police are investigating a theft by deception/identity theft incident that was reported at noon Oct. 5.

A resident of Kroucher Road, Jackson Township, Stroudsburg, was targeted in the incident, police said.

• A criminal mischief incident involving a vehicle is under investigation. It was reported at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 6 on Roberts Road, Chestnuthill Township.

The 57year-old Effort resident told police a Toyota Tacoma drove onto grass on her property and damaged it by a “burn out” of the truck’s tires.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident reported Oct. 5 at Laird Drive, Jackson Township.

The resident reported her handbag, Yeezy Slides, a mirror and pillow were damaged. The estimated damage was $410, police said.
