An Albrightsville man has been charged with the attempted strangulation of his ex-girlfriend.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Trooper Jordan Judson of the Pennsylvania State Police at the Fern Ridge barracks in the case against Robert Freeman Jr.:
In an incident on Tapuco Drive in Penn Forest Township, Freeman, 30, and a woman were in an argument at the location.
Court papers say Freeman struck the woman in her chest with his arm and then began to choke her with his hands.
No physical injury was sustained as a result of this incident, police said.
Freeman was taken into custody and faces two counts each of strangulation and harassment, and one count of simple assault.
He is free on $50,000 unsecured bail, and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Jan. 8 before District Judge Eric M. Schrantz of Jim Thorpe.
