Two vehicle stops by Summit Hill police have led to two people being charged with drug counts.
On April 13 a stop was made for a equipment violation. The driver was identified as Stacey Miletto, 43, of Philadelphia. A records check indicated she was driving under suspension.
A suitcase on the back seat had suspected marijuana and a cigar wrapping paper with no tobacco inside. Miletto was placed under arrest and admitting the items found were hers.
As a result Miletto was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and unlawful activities.
On April 27, police made another traffic stop for no inspection sticker. The driver was identified as Christopher Shawn Knopf, 18, of Slatington. While speaking with Knopf, officers detected to odor of burned marijuana coming from the vehicle.
A search was conducted and found under the front driver seat was three cigar wrappers containing suspected marijuana. On the passenger side officers found a clear plastic baggie containing more suspected marijuana.
Knopf was taken into custody and later admitted the substances were his. As a result he was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle without an inspection sticker.
