The Tamaqua Area School Board on Tuesday took these personnel actions:
• Rescinded motions approving Robert Quezada as a part-time school police officer, approving Ashley McArdle as a part-time paraprofessional, and Justin Hilliard as a part-time health room assistant.
• Approved Jeff Oakes of Tamaqua as an adult game worker.
• Reclassified Liam Conforti of Tamaqua from substitute to full-time custodian at a rate of $11 an hour; and approved Mason Derr of Tamaqua and Addison Rummel of Tamaqua as substitute custodians at a rate of $12.41 an hour.
• Adjusted the salary of Taylor Prehotsky, a certified teacher from bachelor’s, step 1 to masters, step 4, to $55,739, retroactive to her hire date.
• Accepted the resignations of Clarence Opolsky, middle school social studies teacher; Emily Marin, Tamaqua Elementary special education teacher; Cayle Spencer, high school learning support teacher, all with separation dates to be determined; and Amanda Gallagher-Dunkelberger, social worker, effective immediately.
• Approved Kailee Caputo of Tamaqua as a full-time paraprofessional, and Sabrina Moyer, Lilliana Birkmier and Carmen McGlothlin, all of Tamaqua; and Nicole Wronski of New Ringgold as part-time paraprofessionals. All will be at the rate of $12 an hour.
