Team Spoonman helping veterans

Jason Kistler, of Team Spoonman, was at the The Slatington Expo recently raising funds for veterans. Kelly Pelaez and Annette Lacko were his volunteers for the day.

Team Spoonman was started in Jason Kistler’s basement during the COVID pandemic. Kistler purchased the first batch of items to sell, T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats and was able to get care packages out to veterans during COVID.

Kistler, who was in the Military Intelligence Occupational Specialty in the U.S. Army, said the money that is raised from all his merchandise goes to veterans.

Nominations are completely secret.

He donates to the Valor Clinic in Kunkletown, which assist with accessing benefits, securing shelter, and providing long-lasting Post Traumatic Stress resources through the Unstoppable Program.

Kistler has raised close to $10,000 since he started in 2020.
