State police at Schuylkill Haven — crashes

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks reported the following crashes:

• Ashley L. Yarnell, 38, of Andreas, was cited for careless driving after a two-vehicle crash at 4 p.m. Nov. 5 on Route 61 in North Manheim Township.

Police said she was driving a 2009 Lincoln that pulled onto Route 61 without proper clearance and was hit by a 2002 Ford F-150 operated by Jose Perez Martinez, 58, of Bethlehem, who was southbound at the time. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Neither driver was hurt, nor was Robert J. Rex, 30, of Lansford, who was a passenger with Yarnell, and Indiana Suero Dotel, 48, of Bethlehem, who was a passenger in the F-150, police said.

• Christian M. Kelley, 20, of Schuylkill Haven, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:12 p.m. Nov. 2 on Route 61 in North Manheim Township.

Police said he was driving a 1995 Mitsubishi northbound when he lost control of it. The car struck the guard rails on the north shoulder, traveled onto it and overturned onto its roof. The car was towed from the scene.

Police said Kelley received a written warning after the crash.

• A 59-year-old man from Auburn is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a two-vehicle crash at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the intersection of Hogan and Wynonah drives in Wayne Township.

Police said the victim of the incident is a 17-year-old girl from Andreas.

Involved in the crash were a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado and a 2023 Volkswagen, police said.

• A 51-year-old woman from Adamstown is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a two-vehicle crash at 8:41 p.m. Oct. 26 at the intersection of Summer Valley Road and the Centre Turnpike in West Brunswick Township.

Police said victims of the incident are a 20-year-old woman from Minersville and a 28-year-old man from Lenhartsville.

Involved in the crash were a 2019 BMW and a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu.
