State police at Bethlehem

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police are investigating the theft of a piece of equipment valued at $2,850 from a construction site in East Allen Township.

A Multiquip Mikasa MTX60HD 4-cycle tamping rammer owned by Grace Industries of Bath was taken from a site at Dogwood and Airport roads.

Someone cut the chains that secured a trench box and the rammer, police said.

The theft was reported at 7:13 a.m. Oct. 23.

• Matthew Truett, 43, of Germansville, is facing drug possession charges as a result of an incident reported to police at 8:38 p.m. Nov. 4. on the 5000 block of Herman Street, Heidelberg Township.

Police said Truett left a tin with a small clear plastic bag containing a controlled substance on top of a cabinet.

• Police said a 16-year-old boy from Laurys Station was assaulted at 3:35 p.m. Nov. 5 on Cedar Street, North Whitehall Township, when he was walking home from a bus stop.

Another juvenile boy committed the assault, police said.

• A 15-year-old boy from Orefield was cited for harassment by physical contact after police responded to the KidsPeace facility, North Whitehall Township, at 8 p.m. Nov. 6.

Police said the juvenile punched a staff member, a 23-year-old man from Albrightsville, twice in the face.
