The Beltzville Lake is well under 10 feet in depth with park rangers reporting the lake is releasing 250 gallons of water per second while only taking in 50 gallons of water per second from contributing streams. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection says Schuylkill County is under a drought warning and the rest of the Times News area is under drought watch.
