Wreath program at Lehigh Legion

For the second consecutive year, The American Legion Post #899 of Lehigh Township will be participating in the Wreaths Across America Program to remember and honor the service and sacrifice of thousands of past and present U.S. military service members during wreath laying ceremonies this holiday season.

The Legion will place fresh-cut balsam wreaths on veterans’ grave sites starting at noon Dec. 14 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church Cemetery, 1152 Oak Drive, Walnutport (Route 946 in Berlinsville); then proceeding next to St. Paul’s U.C.C. Indianland Cemetery on Maple Drive behind the church at intersection of Almond Road, Walnutport. The public is invited to attend.

They are looking for individuals, families, friends, businesses or organizations to sponsor wreaths to be included in the Wreaths Across America Program. There are several sponsorships available: One wreath individual sponsorship $17; two wreaths ($34); five wreaths ($85); and 10 wreaths ($170).
