Lower Towamensing Township residents aren’t likely to see an increase in their tax rate next year.
On a unanimous measure, supervisors agreed last week to tentatively adopt the 2025 budget and advertise it for the December meeting with no tax increase.
Supervisor Jay Mullikin said the 2025 spending plan “seems to be in line.”
The millage rate will remain at 2.5 mills.
The largest expense for the township this year was road repairs and other public works needs, as well as employee costs for salaries and benefits.
In 2022, supervisors passed a 0.9-mill tax increase to raise money for employee benefits and equipment purchases.
