Abigail McGinley, a 2021 Jim Thorpe graduate, recently played her final game after a four-year career on Alvernia University’s volleyball team.

McGinley, a defensive specialist and libero, was second on the team this season in digs with 255. She registered a season-high 22 digs on Oct. 29 against Widener after posting 21 the previous match versus Brooklyn.

On the offensive side, McGinley was fourth on the team with 25 aces, and also added 46 assists.

In her career, Abbey — an occupational therapy major — amassed a total of 841 digs, 88 aces and 118 assists.

Alvernia finished the season with a record of 12-14.
