Lower Towamensing Township supervisors took the following action recently:

• Passed a resolution prohibiting tobacco use to make its parks tobacco-free zones.

• Announced that Abigail Kuhns thanked the board of supervisors for allowing her to put two libraries in the township’s parks as part of her Girl Scout Silver Award.

• Agreed to advertise equipment for sale on Municibid.

• Agreed to advertise special meetings to be held by the township’s planning commission on Nov. 12, Dec. 10, and Jan. 14, and announced there is a vacancy on the planning commission that needs to be filled.
