The Greater Weatherly Area Community Chest held its queen contest for senior girls at the Weatherly Area High School. The girls had to write a short essay on why they should be chosen. Winner was Rachel Downs, center. The second runner-up was Ellen Wisler, left, and first runner-up was Kiley Holman, right. This year’s queen was crowned by 1954’s Queen, Gloria Eroh, center standing.
