The Penn State Altoona women’s swimming team secured its second dual meet win of the season on Saturday, when the Lions triumphed 74-21 at non-conference foe McDaniel College in the Harlow Pool.
Penn State Altoona reeled in nine first places in the victory, with seven coming in individual swims and two in relay events.
Madison Coleman and McKenna Holl both partnered with Sarah Petry and Tamaqua graduate Alexis Buchala to win the final event of the women’s meet, the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, in a total time of 4:02.37.
Buchala posted a first-place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:12.58.
Next up, Penn State Altoona women’s swimming will compete in its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference meet of the season next Saturday, Nov. 9, when the Lions will head to Alfred, New York. to take on league opponent Alfred State College at 1 p.m.
