Panther Valley Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers met on Oct. 28 with nine members present. The president opened the meeting with the invocation, “Yesterday’s Door.”

The secretary and treasurer’s report were read and accepted by two members. Halloween treats were given to each member by President Diane Gould.

The Christmas party will be held beginning at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 at DiMaggio’s La Dolce Casa in Tamaqua. Prizes will be donated.

Two members made the motion and second that a member must attend 12 meetings in a year to get a free lunch or dinner for the Christmas party. The meetings must be attended between Nov. 1 of the previous year and Dec. 1 of the current year. The motion passed by a majority vote of members.

Two members closed the meeting. The next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 11, Veterans Day, at St. Ann’s Senior Apartments in Lansford. Bingo was played. Anyone 55 and older is invited.
