I am an Orthodox Christian belonging to a particular church having Russian theological, liturgical and cultural patrimony.

Current events (i.e., war in the former USSR) do not oblige my coreligionists and me to reject, downplay or deny those Russian cultural goods as aids to our struggle in pursuit of worthy lives.

Contra certain ignorant loudmouths, I assert that one can list his religion as “Russian Orthodox” without standing on either side of a fratricidal line of scrimmage on the other side of the world.
