The Franklin Township fire company responded to a trailer fire Thursday afternoon on the turnpike. The alarm came in shortly after1 p.m. of a U-Haul trailer on fire in the southbound lanes at the 86.6 mile marker.

State police at Pocono reduced the lanes of travel to just the high speed lane. The trailer received extensive damage. No injuries were reported in the incident.
