Dear Editor,
I love my country. It’s the government that I’m having a problem with.
What I can’t understand is how anyone can say that they’re better off today than they were four years ago. Food and gas prices are up, the borders aren’t secure, crime is up, illegal drugs are flooding our streets and killing our youth. The country is moral free.
How can anyone say they’re for abortion and be proud of it. I always thought people that were for abortion didn’t really want anyone to know. They’d be embarrassed to admit it. Now I’m getting postcards from Kamala Harris and Susan Wild saying that they support abortion. Are you kidding me?
I guess they should be happy their mothers didn’t feel the same way. They say it’s a woman’s right and her body. Well I believe in women’s rights, both my mother and wife are women, biological women I might add, and they have always had rights. As far as saying it’s my body. I have never heard anyone greet a pregnant woman saying “how‘s your body?” They always say “how’s your baby?” It’s a baby, not your body. It’s a baby, not a choice. Maybe we should concentrate on what makes young girls pregnant in the first place?
Don’t get me wrong, I wish Donald Trump was more eloquent with his speech, and think about what he’s going to say before he says it. I think a lot of people do. But you have to admit, he gets it done. He says what he means, and means what he says. You might not like the way your auto mechanic talks, but boy is he good. I think I’ll keep him.
So the decision is yours, do you want lower gas and food prices, secure borders, lower crime rates, stop the drug and human trafficking, lower inflation, and get a president that’s straightforward in his speech that keeps Russia, North Korea, and China in place? Or go with a downward spiral we’re now in?
Think about it, but not too long.
Election day is Nov. 5.
Respectfully,
Pat Gallagher
