A Lehighton driver is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

State police at Lehighton said troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a Ford F150 truck.

The driver failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. Troopers successfully stopped the vehicle using the Pursuit Intervention Technique on Smale Lane at its intersection with Silver Springs Boulevard.

The driver taken into custody and identified as Michelle Marie Kobal, 50. She was charged with fleeing and eluding and other motor vehicle code violations.
