James Zeigenfuss was named “Citizen of the Year” last night during the Lehighton Areas Chamber of Commerce’s 23rd Annual Awards Night Banquet held at Trainer’s Inn.

He accepted the award from chamber board member Marcia Thompson and President Darryl Arner.

Zeigenfuss is a longtime member of the Franklin Township Lions Club, where he serves on the Education Committee. He was instrumental in the building of a memorial honoring veterans of all wars in Packerton, and is the original sponsor of the Franklin Township Little League.

During the program, Richard Keck was named Volunteer of the Year; Randy Rabenold, Educator of the Year; Bob Malick, Business Person of the Year; and the Lehighton Interfaith group, Volunteer Group of the Year.
