State police at the Lehighton barracks reported the following incidents:

• A 19-year-old Palmerton man was cited for harassment by communications after police were called to the Palmerton Area High School, Fireline Road, Lower Towamensing Township, at 7:03 p.m. Oct. 4.

The victim is a 17-year-old girl from Palmerton.

The citation was issued after an altercation between two students, police said.

• A 36-year-old Lehighton woman is the victim of a theft by deception incident police were called to at 6:03 p.m. Sept. 23 at a property on Ridgeview Drive, Towamensing Township.

Police said she reported someone attempted to open a bank account using the woman’s personal identifiable information.

Police said she did not sustain a loss of money during the attempt.
