The Lehighton High Class of 1964 gathered recently for its reunion and brought out the “Spirit Bell,” which it donated in 2016.
Custom made in Ohio, the bell has Lehighton High School inscribed on it and is mounted on a mobile cart constructed by Carbon Career & Technical Institute students.
Dennis Hawk, of Hawk Signs, helped finalize the design.
Students ring the bell upon significant academic and athletic achievements and it is also used for events such as class reunions.
