Getz accounts for the Bears’ only TD in the opening half with his 80-yard kickoff return. Trailing 14-7 at the intermission, PV tallies 21 unanswered points over the final two frames to earn the win. Quarterback Troy Verway connects with Andrew Romeo for scoring passes of 35 and 24 yards to give the Bears, coached by Jim Terwilliger, the lead. Getz races 32 yards to the end zone in the fourth quarter for an insurance tally.
