Air Force Airman Katie E. Frey graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, on Jan. 14, 2011.The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.Frey earned distinction as an honor graduate.She is the daughter of Army 1SG Harold and Deborah Frey of Savannah, GA. She is the grand-daughter of Doris Wolfe and the late George Wolfe of Tamaqua, Harold and Brenda Frey of Lehighton, and the great-grand-daughter of Curtis and Shirley Gombert of Lehighton.
