Elmer E. Daneker and his mother, Ruth Daneker, were elected commander and auxiliary president, respectively, of the American Legion Post, Palmerton.

Other post officers include Lawrence Latzgio, first vice commander; Robert Deppe, second vice commander; Steve Selisku, adjutant; Charles Goodrich, finance officer; the Rev. George McKinley, chaplain; Paul Getz, sergeant-at-arms; and William Fatzinger, historian.

Joining Mrs. Daneker will be Julia Fatzinger, first vice president; Virginia Prutzman, second vice president; Kathleen Zeiser, secretary; Mildred Roberts, treasurer; Violet Fiske, recording secretary; Anne Selisky, historian; Minerva Gersbach, senior sergeant-at-arms; Tillie Holtman, junior sergeant-at-arms; and Margaret McCammon, historian.
