Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for Sept. 13-27.

Monday: Swedish Meatballs, Buttered Rotini, Broccoli and Cauliflower, Apple Slices or Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

Tuesday: Chicken Kiev, Scalloped Potatoes, Spinach, Applesauce or Beef and Cheese Sandwich

Wednesday: Hot Dog, Potato Wedges, Baked Beans, Watermelon or Salad with Chicken

Thursday: Chicken, Sweet Potatoes, Cauliflower, Pudding or Chef Salad with Turkey

Friday: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Wax Beans, yogurt or Chicken and Cheese Sandwich

The senior center also announced the following events.

Guess the Sound on Sept. 23 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Sept. 24 at 10:45 a.m.; Po-Keeno on Sept. 25 at 11 a.m.; Guess Who on Sept. 26 at 11 a.m.; Entertainment with The Neil Diamond Experience on Sept. 27 at 11 a.m.

Cards, Pool, Games, available daily from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. New members are welcome.

Nesquehoning

Bake sale fundraiser

Nesquehoning’s fundraising group will hold a bake sale from 9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 11 in front of the borough office building, 114 W. Catawissa St. Proceeds from the sale help raise funds for community events in the borough.

Donations of baked goods are welcome.

A sale held last week raised a total of $1,372 for the Hometown Heroes banner program. That money will be used to purchase American flags to accompany the banners.
