The Tamaqua Area Water Authority reported a water main break today in the 1100 block of East Broad Street near the Tamaqua Plaza.

Repairs to the main are underway and normal water service will be restored as soon as possible.

Customers may experience low pressure or discolored water. Customers will be notified if they need to boil their water. There is no water boil advisory at this time.

The authority apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and cooperation.
