Letter to the editor: The End Justifies the Means
Cliches used in sports like “win baby,” “just win” and “winning is everything” fit nicely into the political landscape where both parties logo could be “the end justifies the means.”
I am an independent conservative therefore I do not blindly support either party but my political bias is founded on the Constitution. That single document is the cornerstone by which every legal and illegal action in law is judged.
Both parties mostly accept the Constitution as the basis for law and it is tragic when either party violates the Constitution because it weakens the legal system and degrades the quality of life for every American.
In 1963 when JFK was assassinated nobody was held LEGALLY responsible much like the attempt on Trump’s life. Since 1963 the Constitution has been under attack whenever either party sees political gain. Both parties are complicit but since Clinton’s proclamation of “it depends on what the meaning of is ... is” words no longer seem to matter.
Words are twisted and misconstrued leading the Constitution to a certain death. The NDAA Act in 2012 signed by Obama removed citizens rights of due process under the law and the Patriot Act signed by George Bush Jr. sanctioned government to violate citizens civil rights.
In 2024 if you need one reason NOT to vote for a democrat it is the SAVE ACT. The Save Act (sounds good) is a Republican sponsored bill to guarantee every citizen the right to vote so long as they have adequate verification such as a driver’s license. Democrats oppose the bill.
Democrats infused our country with millions of illegal immigrants hoping to provide them with a rapid path to citizenship.
Do you want illegal immigrants rapidly transformed into citizens to decide the fate of America?
To win an election by perverting the law has real life consequences. Today we live with the real life consequences of the 2020 election. I pray all Americans realize millions of illegal immigrants rapidly converted to citizens should not decide the fate of America. No, the end does not justify the means.
