Fifteen adults and young people of Christ Evangelical Free Church, Lehighton R.2, were baptized by immersion Sunday in a pond at the home of members Daniel and Louise Billman, Tamaqua R.3.

Their pastor, the Rev. Philip C. Bubar, conducted the Baptism, also known as the Believers Baptism, along with his assistants pastors, the Rev. Jim G. Dean and the Rev. Kevin Dixon.

Those baptized were Lynn and Nancy Zimmerman, Tammy Beers, Amy Jo Kunkel, Brenda Burkett, Bruce and Chris Reed, Denise Ritchell, Debbie Walker, Alisha Heckman, Ed Koch and Jon, Rose, Tom and Steve Lilly.

Three other candidates from the First Baptist Church, Nesquehoning, were baptized by their pastor, the Rev. Walter Hill.
