Washintgon Township Supervisors conducted the following business this week:

• Application was approved for the addition of an Agricultural Security Area (which protects the land for farm use only) by Robert and Diane Schmidt for the address of 5654 Ridge Road, Slatington, 11.135 acres.

• Exoneration of Colin P. Hedash for per capita tax 2024, active military.

• The supervisors approved the budgeted $600 stipend to the emergency management coordinator, Joe Mead.

• Approved the release of $3,000 donation to the Wildlife Information Center.

• Approved from the American Rescue Fund to purchase a road saw for approximately $9,100; tamper (used for compacting soil, leveling ground and setting pavers or bricks in place) for approximately $3,155; and two chain saws for no more than $1,500.

• Will advertise a proposed zoning ordinance for the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance Text and Official Map. The Northern Lehigh Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan Effort consists of Slatington Borough and Washington, Weisenber, Lowhill Township, Lynn and Heidelberg townships.
