Turnpike incidents

State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incidents that happened on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

• The owner/operator of a 2016 Nissan Versa that was stopped on Interstate 476 in Washington Township at 6:35 p.m. Aug. 27 was cited on various offenses.

Police said Karolay Luis Castillo, no address listed, was charged with driving a vehicle that had an expired registration, driving a vehicle whose registration was suspended for unpaid toll tickets and possession of a fraudulent inspection sticker on the vehicle.

• The owner of a 2017 Honda Pilot that was stopped on Interstate 476 in Washington Township at 12:03 p.m. Aug. 25 was cited for summary offenses.

Police said Christine Vargas, no address listed, was cited for an expired registration sticker. They also said the annual emission inspection stickers on the vehicle were determined to be fraudulent.
