John Olivia and John Sosik, Palmerton mailmen who retired this month from their duties with the U.S. Postal Department, boast of a combined 59-1/2 years, serving under six presidents.
Olivia served for 31-1/2 years while Sosik served for 28 years.
Through their careers, the men served under presidents Eisenhower, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford.
They were honored this week at a dinner party held at the Blue Ridge Country Club, Palmerton, where Postmaster Ramon Carazo addressed the audience.
The event was planned by postal employee Frank Horvath and assistant postmaster Frank Lendvay.
