State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following crashes that occurred on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Police were called to a hit-and-run incident at 4:42 p.m. Aug. 19 at mile marker 89 in Kidder Township.
Police said an unknown vehicle believed to be an International Harvester with a Minnesota registration plate on it was traveling north when it crossed into the left lane and its driver’s side hit the passenger’s side of a 2024 Hyundai Elantra driven by Yousf A. Almumen, 26, of Pittston.
The vehicle was tracked down and determined to be owned by Starlink Express, which will be cited, according to police.
• Isaac Komin, 19, of Lakewood, New Jersey, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 1:06 p.m. Aug. 11 at mile marker 93.2 in Kidder Township.
Police said he was driving a 2009 Toyota Sienna south when it veered into the center divider after encountering slowed traffic.
