Bethlehem crashes
State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following crashes:
• Bren De La Cruz Pabello, 38, of Walnutport, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed following a one-vehicle crash at 4:10 a.m. July 23 on Saegersville Road, Heidelberg Township.
Police said that she was driving a 2017 Ford F250 south when she lost control of the truck while negotiating a curve. The vehicle crossed over into the opposing lane, went off the road and entered a grass area where it struck a tree.
They said the driver was transported by personnel from the Northern Valley ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.
• Christopher T. Bixler, 36, of Allentown, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance after a motorcycle crash at 11:54 p.m. July 25 on Old Packhouse Road, North Whitehall Township.
Police said that he and a passenger, Karrie E. Bixler, 39, also of Allentown, were transported by personnel from the Cetronia Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.
Police said that he was operating a 2002 Harley-Davidson Fatboy eastbound when a deer emerged from the right side of the road. Police said the cycle traveled into the westbound lanes, at which time Bixler lost control of it and crashed.
Police said the Bixlers were found in the eastbound lane by members of the North Whitehall Fire Department.
The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
• Michael Soto Jr., 26, of Coaldale, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash at 2:48 a.m. Aug. 10 on Seemsville Road in Allen Township.
Police said he was driving a 2010 Acura that approached a downed tree on the roadway, striking it and traveling a short distance into the southbound lane, coming to rest under the tree.
Police said the tree had hit a utility pole, resulting in downed wires being in the roadway.
Both lanes of traffic were shut down until about 10:21 a.m.
The Acura was towed from the scene.
• Police said that Bruce Jimenez Arriaga, 38, of Allentown, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a one-vehicle crash at 5:10 a.m. July 30 at the intersection of Old Post and Rockdale roads in North Whitehall Township.
Arriaga was driving a 2000 Toyota northbound when he ran out of gas and stopped in the right lane, after which time he ended up falling asleep behind the wheel, police said.
