State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following incidents on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
• Joseph Boback, 37, of Willow Grove, was cited after police conducted a traffic stop at 4:24 p.m. Aug. 4 on I-476 in Washington Township.
Police said he was stopped in a 2009 Chevrolet Express van for a suspended registration (not complying with turnpike toll by plate charges) after which time police determined the vehicle had a suspended registration and the driver’s license and inspection stickers on the van were fraudulent.
The businesses affected in the case were identified as Reedman Toll Auto World, Langhorne, and Fitzpatrick’s Service Center, Glenside.
• Muamar Khalil, 23, of Philadelphia, is facing multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance, after police stopped for a 2004 Infiniti that was parked on the shoulder of I-476 in Franklin Township. Police said the vehicle displayed a registration plate that belonged on a Peterbuilt tractor-trailer, the inspection stickers on the car displayed an expiration date of September 2024, which were fictitious, there was a small amount of marijuana in plain view, the vehicle was not registered, it was uninsured and Khalil had an operator’s license that was suspended.
Police said the vehicle was removed from the scene. Police identified businesses affected in the case as Jason’s Station LLC, Clinton, and Kezmoh’s Service Center, Pittsburgh.
