Penn State men’s basketball coach and Mahanoy City native Mike Rhoades will make a pair of stops in Nesquehoning this Saturday.

A homecoming event for Rhoades will be held at the Narrow Valley Sportsplex as part of an opening month celebration from 1-4 p.m. The event is a free community meet and greet as the coach is welcomed back to the Coal Region before his second season at Penn State.

The second stop will be an “Evening with Coach Rhoades” held at Macaluso’s Restaurant. The schedule includes a cocktail hour from 5-6 p.m. with a buffet dinner and program to follow at 6 p.m.

The menu will include short ribs; stuffed chicken breast; penne ala vodka; Italian bread; salad; veggies; coffee, tea and soda; and a cash bar.

The cost is $75 per person.
