Tamaqua police have charged Vincenzo Leech, 25, of Schuylkill Haven, with writing a bad check to a borough business on April 1.
According to police, the department received a call from Kotch’s Notary Service regarding a $382 check written by Leech for a vehicle title transfer service. The check was returned to Kotch for insufficient funds.
Police said the notary service made several attempts to rectify the situation but Leech did not respond. In one letter, the notary service said Kotch owed $442, which included bank and mailing fees.
Police also tried contacting Leech but he did not respond.
