ON THIS DATE AUGUST 6, 1971

Frank Priggins was installed as commander of the American Legion Post 123, Lansford, during a program held Thursday night in the Orchid Room of the post. Ban Varval, 30th District commander, was the installing officer, assisted by deputy commanders Dawson Brown and Clint Kunkle.

Other new officers seated are Joseph Horvath, first vice commander, Walter Bashiago, second vice commander, Edwin Stickler, treasurer, George Thomas, finance officer, Elmer Davis, adjutant and historian, John Harvan, sergeant-at-arms, Charles Mellen, service officer, and George B. Richards, chaplain.

Mellen is the outgoing commander of the post.
