The Carbon County Commissioners today appointed Frank E. Wehr of Summit Hill as a member of the Carbon County Tourist Promotion Agency.

The appointment was made by commissioners James Walker and Albert U. Koch and came on the recommendation of William D. Van Dyke of Weatherly, chairman of the TPA. Commissioner John W. Angst was absent from the session.

Wehr is the current clerk of courts in the courthouse, Jim Thorpe. The commissioners said the recommendation of him, was, in part, because Summit Hill Borough has been without a representative on the agency since the resignation some time ago of Willard Gottschall.
