Week of July 29
• Effort UMC will hold its VBS the week of July 29 through Aug. 2. The theme for the week is: “Hometown Nazareth- Where Jesus was a Kid.” This program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Those who are willing to volunteer at VBS, contact Deb Audett at: daudett@ptd.net and she will assist folks in signing up and ensuring clearances are up-to-date.
A sign-up sheet to register the youth will be placed on the Welcome Center in the near future.
• The Great Journey Jungle Vacation Bible School will be held from 6 to 8:15 p.m., July 29 through Aug. 1 at Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church, Brodheadsville for children 4 years old to those entering sixth grade in the fall.
It is set to include an epic cruise from Genesis to Revelation and sail through the seven C’s of history via Swinging Songs, Animal Pals, Bible Passages, Tree-mendous Crafts and Science, Rainforest Recreation, Canopy Cafe Snacks, Nightly Prizes and much more, including the church’s green parrot Eden and the pink river dolphin Rose.

• Christ United Church of Christ, 4th and Center streets, Jim Thorpe, vacation Bible school, Aug. 5-8, 5:30 to 8 p.m., with theme, “Have you herd VBS.” All ages welcome, supper and snacks provided, “moosic” and more. For registration call 570-325-8670.
