State police at the Lehighton barracks reported that an unknown vehicle struck two mailboxes and left the scene at 6:49 p.m. July 17 on Pohopoco Drive in Towamensing Township.

The vehicle was eastbound when it struck the boxes at 6260 and 6320 Pohopoco Drive, according to police.
