July 25, 1995 — The Birches explode for six runs in the seventh inning to rally for a 10-6 victory over Northampton in the first game of their best-of-three Northampton County Legion playoff series. Consecutive singles by Kevin Szoke, Mike Deeble and Jason “Chico” Schimenek load the bases in the seventh for the Birches. Dan Borden delivers a triple to knock in all three runners, while TJ Murphy adds an RBI single and Jason Farissier blasts a two-run homer. The winners, who turned three double plays in the game, earlier received a three-run homer from John Dispensa.
