PSP Bethlehem - incidents

State police at the Bethlehem barracks reported the following incidents:

• Kimberly Andrews, 42, of Slatington, has been charged with forgery and theft by deception after police were called to Ridge Lane, Washington Township, at 3:50 p.m. July 5.

Police said Corie M. O’Brian, 41, of Slatington, told police he met Andrews on two different occasions — June 17 and 19, on the 3000 block of Second Street, Coplay, where Andrews gave him three checks, all of which were returned to him by Wells Fargo Bank as “Refer to Maker.” The checks totaled $2,020.22, police said.

• Krista Rice, 34, of Slatington, was cited after police were called to a theft from a motor vehicle incident at 5:47 a.m. July 9 at on the 7000 block of Route 873, Washington Township.

Police said the owners were a 56-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman, both from Slatington.

They said the suspect was found walking on the women’s property. They said nothing was reported stolen from the 2000 Lexus but a window air conditioner valued at $700 was damaged.

• Mark Kudla, 38, of Slatington, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a physical altercation at 10:53 p.m. July 8 on the 4000 block of Irvin Road, Washington Township, involving a 33-year-old woman from Slatington.

Police said Kudla struck the woman in the face with the palm of his hand and threatened to slash the tires of her vehicle before leaving the premises.

• Police reported an incident that occurred Sept. 16, 2023, at a gun sale at the Slatington Marketplace, Route 873, Washington Township.

They said Cristina Montanez, no address given, attempted to purchase a firearm but was denied after the Pennsylvania Instant Check System showed she had a conviction of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
