Thomas E. Foley, 727 Center St., Jim Thorpe, has been named administrator of the Tri-County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Program.

The Carbon County resident was unanimously named at a meeting of the commissioners representing Carbon, Monroe and Pike counties held ion Stroudsburg.

Foley is a former member of the Jim Thorpe Area School faculty, a position he relinquished to accept a position with the Department of Education in the formation and study of vocational-technical schools. He presently maintains offices in the Carbon County School Administration Building in Jim Thorpe.
